Trucks, trucks, trucks … cam despre asta a fost Houston.
Am aterizat după un zbor lung și liniștit. Clar, nu a lipsit un domn în cizme, cu pălărie, ce ronțăia continuu un pai. Cum a rezistat atâtea ore numai el știe.
Dacă nu era prietena de la fostul loc de muncă, să vină după mine la aeroport, mă declaram pierdută. Dacă nu ai mașină în statul ăstora, Texas, să fiu mai exactă, trebuie sa te prezinți cu o sumă bună în cont, pentru taxi, mai întâi de toate.
Mergem și mergem, dar autostrada asta e întinsă bine domn’le! Uiiii!!! E un waffle house! Așa deci, memories mood on!
Mult mi-a plăcut complexul în care locuiește, mda, recunosc, și alte amintiri din Florida a adus cu el.
Am făcut oboseala pachet, un duș rapid și am ieșit într-un bar din oraș. Cadru cald și primitor. De acolo am ajuns într-un club de gay. Trebuie să menționez că a fost prima dată pentru mine, ce să spun de aici, păcat de noi fete, rămânem tot cu mai puțini. Danseză bine, asta e alta.
Dimineața ne trezim devreme că doar o zi am în întinsul oraș.
Ca să mergem la Space Center NASA trebuia să o petrecem pe toată. Deci am ales să văd un orășel mic din port, Galveston!
Dintr-un punct anume parcă eram înapoi în Glenwood Springs, Colorado! Un parc de distracții, restaurante, un mini-concert live, vapoare pierdute în larg și o parcare plină cu mașinile mele preferate din SUA.
Shopping să nu vă treacă prin minte să faceți aici, spațiu mare, prețuri mari. Pe bune. Eu știu că au câte o moșie și-un teren, dar totuși.
Făinuț skyline au, asa-i? Acum că ne-am înțeles cum stă treaba în Texas, să mergem mai departe.
De aici, m-am pornit c-un Grayhound spre New Orleans. Despre orașul legendă găsiți povestea aici!
Ș-am zburat spre Miami’ul meu drag pe urmă. Un mini-ghid, aici!
Ordinea în care îmi organizez fiecare excursie în SUA are sens doar în capul meu, că de iei o hartă te întrebi de ce zboară fata asta acum din Miami în Denver și înapoi, când din Houston era mai aproape. Eu și motivele mele!
Moving on..la înca unul tot pe-atât de minunat!
Da, pot merge într-un loc pentru că m-am îndrăgostit de el într-un videoclip. Nu mi-a păsat mie de sutele de celebrități ce au urcat pe scena imensă de când a fost deschis stadionul, am vrut doar să văd locul ce mi-a dat fiori și continuă să o facă. Poate-s eu prea visătoare, dar e frumoasă povestea, deși tristă (trebuie văzut!!!).
Și zona are un întreg traseu de cățărat și explorat, timp numai să ai!
Imensul stadion e folosit, în zilele lui libere, ca teren de antrenament. De nu eram în fustă imediat făceam și eu o tură. Right.
Data viitoare ne vedem la un concert, country să fie! Promit.
E bine să cunoști pe cineva în orice colțișor al lumii. Așa m-am întâlnit în Denver cu un om drag mie. A venit cu niște prieteni ca să petrecem weekendul împreună.
Am ales să văd parada de St Patrick’s pe străzile din centrul Denverului. Mă așteptam să fie mai mult verde la eveniment, dar atmosferă a fost!
Orașul ăsta e atât de … European. Civilizat și ordonat, calm aș zice.
Nu are nici pic din agitația Los Angelesului sau New Yorkului de exemplu. Au și tramvaiul gratuit ce parcuge 16th Street, practic întreaga zonă centrală. Regiune foarte căutată ca mediu de viață, am înțeles eu , e cea mai bine văzută pe 2016!
Da! Am avut cumpărături făcute încât o astfel de plasă era necesară! Apoi am fost la cinematograful meu preferat din toate timpurile. Deci atât se extinde scaunul că devine pat, mare și moale, mă și mir că am mai urmărit Zootopia cu atenție! Da, da, filme de copii, soooo us!
Și creatura asta am înțeles că e cumva simbolul lor, am văzut ceva similar in Chicago dacă bine mi-aduc aminte.
Am servit cina într-un restaurant cu specific mexican. De îndată ce am intrat, mirosul mirodenilor din salată m-au dus cu gandul la Fiesta Guadalajara, locul unde am lucrat puțintel în vara lui 2013. Apoi horchata, paradisul copiilor, și al meu, logic.
I-am întâlnit încă un prieten la micul dejun. Cu un accent Texan prăfuit ne-a povestit una alta despre viața lui la facultate și mai apoi au intrat în discuții despre politică, de unde am priceput că e tristă situația și la ei, așa, pentru locuitorul de rând.
Și cum nu pot pleca dintr-un loc fără să-i văd centrul cultural, vi-l prezint aici!
Am mai fost o dată în Denver, mai departe de centru totuși. Promit să încarc și fotografiile respective de îndată ce ajung acasă la ele!

Trucks. Trucks. Trucks. Houston that is!
I land after the longest flight, but also, one of the best. Clearly, the man in boots, with his hat on, and the straw in his mouth was present. How did he last for so many hours, chewing it, only he knows. If not for my friend from the previous job, I could have declared myself at lost and found. But like this, she picked me up, a car in this state, is a must have!
We drive and drive and for goodness sake, this street is so wide and long!
There’s a waffle house! Great! Memories mood on.
I loved the place she’s living into, this type of complex is very common in the US, but whitish in the South, so you can imagine I had memories again. This work and travel thing … just gets in there and never gets out! Beware.
So I packed up my sleepless hours, showered and went out. It was a pretty bar, cozy and movie scene like, I’d say. From there on I had my first experience in a gay club. Well, what can I say, it’s less and less for us girls and they do dance great.
I had only a day here and in order to make it to NASA Space Center we needed it whole, so I just chose Galveston instead.
A small town, next to the water, with an adventure park. That just took me all the way to Glenwood Springs, Colorado and all that had to give.
The parking lot was like a place to see for me, you know, with all my favorite cars!
It does look like a reindeer, doesn’t it?
To shop or not to shop? Please don’t! Really expensive! I know there’s a few who own a ranch and all that, but still, what about the common ones? How do they manage there, I have no idea.
Pretty skyline, though! Now that we’re on the same page about Texas, let’s keep going.
To New Orleans by Grayhound, I’m safe and sound, aren’t I? So stop complaining about it. You can read more about this legend city in here!
Then I flew to my lovely Miami. There’s more than one story about it on the blog.
The order my USA trips take place makes sense only in my head, because if you take a map you might just see I’m going in circles and then wonder why I went to Denver from here and back. Well, I had my reasons. I always do.
Colorado is about parks, hiking trails, green and brown. That makes Denver a place to visit in any season.
Only I can wish to see a place because I fell for it in a video. I didn’t care that much about all the big names who went on stage before, I just wanted to walk the stairs they did.
Call me a dreamer and helpless romantic, because sometimes I am, but this is a good one!
The gigantic stadium is used as training space in it’s days off, when there are no shows, I mean. Today was one of those. If I wouldn’t be wearing a skirt I might have started jogging up and down. Right.
Cute place, promise to see you again, for a concert next time, country that is.
The perks of knowing someone everywhere in the world. That’s how in Denver I spent the weekend of St Patrick’s with a very good friend and some of his friends. I did expect a little more green, but it was a traditional parade.
This city is so European that it hurts my eyes. So civil, organized and calm. Not a drop of LA’s or NY’s craziness. I liked the free tram going on 16th Street, practically around the entire central area.
Yes, I went shopping, a little too much!
Also here I “met” the best cinema so far! The seat turns into a bed, I can’t believe I managed to watch Zootopia after all, yes, kiddo, kids movies, soooo us.
We had diner in a Mexican place. As soon as we stepped in I felt the smell of Fiesta Guadalajara, the place I worked part time when in 2013, Colorado. Then the hochata, the best drink, for kids in general.
I met one more of his friends for breakfast. With a faded Texan accent he told us about his life, then when it came to politics I understood the story is petty bad around there too. Well, I’m in Abu Dhabi for now. One thing at a time.
I can’t leave a place without seeing it’s cultural center, so take a look.
I’ve been once before in Denver, but in the suburbs, in Aurora. I’ll be back with pictures as soon as I go home sometime this summer.
